Meet the Cornerstone Staff

David Caldwell President & Owner	Hi, I'm David Caldwell, the owner and founder of Cornerstone Pool Construction. First, let me thank you for considering our company to build your swimming pool. This is likely to be the second largest investment you will make. We view this as a serious commitment to give you the highest quality product possible and give you years of enjoyment, while increasing the value of your home. Our beginnings were very humble but, our mission has not changed or wavered from day one. In November of 2000, after working for a large pool company for seven years, I felt it was time to make a move. My dream was to build a company that my children could someday inherit. I had never run a business before so, I spent much time in meditation and prayer. A proverb was given to me and this has the core and mission statement. "Let integrity be your guide." So, in January of 2001, after getting my contractors license, we started with one lead and the dream of a family business. Over the years we have built a committed team, and as you read their bios you will see that we are unmatched when it comes to experience and customer service. Chip Caldwell VP Sales / Project Manager NSPI Gold Medal Winner	Chip Caldwell is an award-winning pool designer with 35 years in the swimming pool business. At Cornerstone, he has the ability to design, do sales, and supervise all of his pool construction projects from start to finish. His dedication to serving clients, and his unrelentless pursuit of quality helps set Cornerstone apart in the pool industry. In 1970, Chip Caldwell served in the Marine Corps with one tour of active duty, and then went to work for American Airlines for 3 1/2 years. Chip began doing tile and coping for B&J Tile on his days off, and began selling pools in 1974 for Aquatic Pools in Dallas. Three years later, Chip founded Pegasus Pools in Dallas, which he owned and operated for 17 years. He then arrived in Phoenix to spend eight years with California Pools and Spas. Chip came to Cornerstone in 2002, and has had 7 successful years of building some of the Valley's most beautiful pools.
Tom Caldwell Project Manager NSPI Gold Medal Winner	Tom Caldwell began in 1977 as an independent tile contractor and partner of Tile Unlimited, Inc. in Texas. Eleven years later he moved to Arizona to work for Paddock in sales, traveling into Southern California as a pool consultant. In 1993, Tom became the fourth original team member of an elite sales force at California Pools & Spas. After nearly a decade, he was recruited by Premier Pools & Spas to start the Glendale branch. Always working hard to create distinctive gold-medal designs, Tom's pools have won over 20 international design awards. Tom joined Cornerstone Pool Construction in February 2005 as an integral part of a family-owned business. Although future expansion is inevitable, Tom remains focused on building the best quality swimming pools, spas, and water features, selectively catering to the desired visions of his customers. Tom knows that the highest level of integrity, product reliability and client satisfaction is achieved when the sales designer and project manager oversees the job development through to completion. This high level of attention and communication gives the homeowner assurance and peace of mind. Tom looks forward to meeting new people and helping them attain their backyard dreams. With a career of 32 years, Tom continues to find great challenge and reward in what he does. Tom lives in Ahwatukee, where he is happily married to his wife of 24 years, and takes great pride in his two adult children.
Diana Uribe Office Manager / Coordinator	At age fifteen, Diana Uribe started as a receptionist for California Pools. As she gained knowledge of the pool industry, her roles expanded to accounting, warranty, and construction scheduling. Diana added to her experience by working with a few other pool companies before finding her home at Cornerstone Pool Construction. She is grateful to the people who have taught her so much along the way. Now, with more than thirteen years experience, she is uniquely qualified to provide the best possible customer service. Her ultimate goal is to help Cornerstone Pools fulfill its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
